A smoothie is a condensed beverage made by blending fruits and vegetables, with water, ice, sweetener, and dairy produce. Smoothies can be very healthy depending on the ingredients used, some smoothies can be packed full of sugar, yogurt, or ice cream which is not so healthy. However, a green smoothie consisting largely of fresh green vegetables is much healthier.

Invariably, the smoothie is simply a healthy mix of multiple fruit drinks full of varying nutritional benefits including protein, vitamins, sodium, and fiber. So those people who are great lovers of smoothie healthy fruit drinks, are moving into a world of organic and raw food which keeps them in absolute shape and in good health. 

Truth is, it is best to have your homemade smoothie than your buy and take- away special since you obviously don’t know what’s beneath the mix. But with your homemade special smoothie, you can be sure to have it complete with vitamins, minerals as well as satiating fiber just you would love it.

INGREDIENTS

1. 110-ounce frozen blueberries or other fruit

2. 3ripe bananas

3. 1cup plain yogurt

4. 1cup unsweetened coconut milk

5. 2tablespoons honey

Start by pureeing blueberries In a blender, add small cut pieces of bananas, yogurt, pour in coconut milk, and honey.

INGREDIENTS

1. 1cup seedless green grapes

2. 1cup packed baby spinach

3. 1/2cup ice

4. 1/4cup coconut milk

DIRECTIONS

Put grapes, clean spinach, ice, and coconut milk in a blender, blend until smooth.

INGREDIENTS

1. 1cup chopped ripe mango

2. 1/2cup low-fat milk

3. 1/2cup ice

4. 1/4cup plain low-fat yogurt

5. 1tablespoon honey

DIRECTIONS

Place the mango, milk, ice, yogurt, and honey in a blender and blend until frothy


RASPBERRY COCONUT SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients

· ½ - 1 cup coconut milk (if you like it thick)

· 1 medium banana, peeled sliced, and frozen

· 2 teaspoons coconut extract (if necessary)

· 1 cup frozen raspberries

· optional: shredded coconut flakes, sweetener of choice, to taste

Directions:

· Add a mixture of coconut milk, frozen banana slices as well as coconut extract into the blender. Blend for between 1-2 minutes until it is smooth. Add frozen raspberries and continue to beat until smooth.

· Pour the finished smoothie blend into a serving glass, top it up with some raspberries and shredded coconut, and enjoy a great meal!
